#25988 It's common knowledge that exercise helps you live longer. Being regularly active can even prevent mental signs of aging like cognitive decline, and can help prevent dementia.
What you might not know it that even low levels of exercise on a regular basis can help you live longer. You don't need to look like a super model or spend an hour a day in the gym to reap the benefits of longer life. Even just adding a little more exercise to your daily routine, like roughhousing with the kids, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or walking to the grocery store to pick up a few things rather than driving can add years to your life if you just keep it up!
This is really good news for those of us who can't seem to find the time for the gym right now--if you just keep up low to moderate levels of physical activity on a daily basis you can be healthier and live longer.

#68217 Exercise definitely does help you live a much healthier and more fulfilled life, I'm not so sure that it makes you live any longer than if you didn't workout. For some people, their life expectancy is determined by many other factors.

#68244 Exercise will help you live longer, there is no doubt, but just make sure that you are able to do the exercises and maybe even start slowly. Too many people jump right into them without thinking ahead and end up quitting right away because they can't keep up.
