#29503 It's hard to change your diet for life--we're so used to going "on" diets instead of making permanent changes! But how do you motivate yourself to say "no" to the donuts at the office, the cookies at your mom's house, and the crap your husband can eat all day long without gaining weight?

Let's help each other with our motivation tips!

I find that the internet is full of stories of people who have worked hard and lost weight to improve their bodies--does that help motivate you?

#29538 It's important to find a motivator that works for you. If you're trying to lose weight in order to reduce your risk of certain diseases, reading about how bad those diseases can be might "scare" you into being more determined to stick to your plan. If you want a better body, putting up pictures of the types of clothing you want to look good in might help. If you want to be a role model for your children, keeping pictures of them everywhere might help you to stay on track. Everyone is different--so don't give up because you'll find something that works for you!

And try to get family and friends on board, as well. Donuts are not good for you--even if you are blessed with the kind of metabolism that lets you eat them without gaining weight. Maybe your coworkers should start bringing in fruit trays or veggies and dip instead of junk? Maybe you'll be the one to help everyone in the office look and feel better!
