If HGH is lab produced how can it be made in my body too?

If human growth hormone is laboratory produced how can it also be produced in the body too? Can it replace HGH that is produced naturally? If it all goes away will my muscles fail me?

I don't know about the lab stuff replacing your natural stuff, but when people have fatal allergies, like to peanuts, and they take an epi-pen, the stuff in the epi-pen is just like your body's natural adrenaline, only it is produced in a lab. So I think it is possible for them to make chemicals in a lab that are the same as the stuff made in your body.
