Weight Loss Techniques for Preventing Aging

Many people all over the world are concerned with weight loss. Although in years past a more attractive appearance was the main goal of weight loss, we are beginning to understand how many body systems are affected by extra weight, and how unhealthy it truly is to carry unnecessary pounds. The more evidence that science uncovers, the more motivation the average person has to lose weight, and the more strategies there are for losing it.Sexy Woman's Body

Natural Weight Loss

Many people want to stick with the basics, and lose weight by eating the most natural food possible. This strategy can be summed up by saying: “If your great-great-great grandmother didn’t eat it, neither should you.” In other words, fast food and pre-packaged food are off the table, and the vast majority of your diet should be fruits and vegetables. Part of natural weight loss is eating organic whenever possible, because the toxins in pesticides have negative effects on the body. Some of these effects make it more difficult to lose weight, while others cause other signs of aging, such as cellulite, and produce muscle aches and pains that make it more difficult to exercise. Sticking to a natural weight loss plan virtually guarantees healthy weight loss.

Weight Loss with Supplements

There are many supplements that can help you lose weight. Unfortunately, the market is saturated with diuretics and laxatives that merely provide the illusion of weight loss, and the truly effective supplements can be hard to find. Some supplements work by revving up your metabolism (although some people may experience negative side effects) and some work by blocking hunger signals from your brain, so you don’t have troublesome cravings. Other supplements block the body from absorbing fats or starches. All of these types of supplements have potential side effects if used improperly, but all of them can assist in speeding up healthy weight loss if used correctly.

Weight Loss with Detoxing

With all of the toxins present in food, water, and air, detoxing is becoming a popular way to return the body to a more natural, pure state, and most people find that they lose weight while completing a detox program. There are many different types of detoxes, but they all focus on keeping toxins (present in fast food, pre-packaged food, and often any cooked food) out of the body and taking in more water and pure juices to help flush out toxins already present. Because detoxes do not allow high-calorie, low-nutrient foods, weight loss is often rapid during a detox. A lot of water weight is lost as well, because the body holds onto extra water to dilute toxins.

Weight Loss with Hormonal Treatment

Just as menopausal women sometimes choose to take estrogen in order to avoid symptoms of aging that come with the loss of fertility, many more people are choosing to take HGH (human growth hormone) to keep their youthful vitality and strength—including their youthful metabolisms. Approved by the FDA to help obese patients achieve healthy weight loss, HGH also has many anti-aging properties, although it is not approved to be prescribed for those reasons. People taking HGH find that their energy levels, strength, flexibility, and even looks return to what they were years earlier. Since HGH is produced in the human body, it is safe to supplement your HGH levels. Since HGH production in your body peaks in your teens and begins to slow down after that, many people who take it find that their ability to lose weight and gain lean muscle mass returns to what it was in their 20s! There are many supplements available that, rather than put HGH into your body, prompt your body to produce its own HGH. Some of these are Genf20 Plus and HGH advanced, and GHR1000. Although it is legal for physicians to prescribe HGH injections, many are reluctant to do so because of controversies surrounding this recent breakthrough in human health.

Weight Loss with Medications

Many prescription medications are available to obese individuals who have already tried more traditional methods of losing weight and have not succeeded. Many of these medications are appetite suppressors, which “trick” the body into feeling less hungry. When taking these drugs, you must still carefully monitor your food intake, because if you eat for emotional reasons rather than hunger, these drugs aren’t likely to help, and if they are very effective you might forget to eat at all, which can result in episodes of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar, which can cause lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting.) Another type of weight loss drug, known as a lipase inhibitor, prevents the absorption of fats, which prevents fat calories from being stored. Basically these medications cause fat to “go right through you,” which brings its own range of side effects that range from annoying to downright embarrassing. The truth is, using these drugs in combination with a healthy diet and exercise routine may speed up the rate of weight loss for very obese people whose health is at risk due to their obesity.

Weight Loss with Surgery

As a last resort for individuals who have tried absolutely everything and have not been able to lose weight, some physicians will suggest weight loss surgery. Prior to the invention of gastric bands, surgeons usually performed stomach stapling, which essentially creates an upper and a lower stomach. The connection between the two is very small, which means that food takes a long time to pass through to the lower stomach. The upper stomach is small, and becomes uncomfortably full very quickly, causing the individual to stop eating. The feeling of fullness remains for several hours. By restricting food intake so severely, this surgery causes very obese patients to lose weight quite quickly. Gastric bands accomplish the same goal by squeezing the stomach like an elastic band, thereby creating the upper and lower stomach effect. This surgery must be an accompaniment to food education, and the recipient must be willing to learn how to maximize their nutrient intake so that eating such a small amount of food is not detrimental to his or her health.

Weight loss, when it is necessary and performed safely, has a wealth of benefits. People often feel years younger once the extra stress of carrying around extra weight is removed from their muscles and joints. The exercise and healthy food intake that accompanies weight loss provides a youthful glow and bounce to the skin, and increases lean muscle mass, making the body look tighter, and helping you to defy gravity. Always make sure to consult a doctor about whether you need to lose weight and how much is a healthy amount to lose. You can discuss with your doctor which weight loss plan is right for you, and start feeling those youthful, healthy effects!

  1. Thank you for this article! At this time and age that people are raised with more options in order to lose all the extra pounds, there should be no more reason for them to continue living in the dark shades of terror and wait for themselves to be found with diabetes or hypertension or any other condition that is mostly associated with being fat, overweight, and ugly!
