What Do You Need to Get Started looking Younger

The constant search for methods of staying young is a tireless one. While you cannot stop time from marching on or stop yourself from aging, you can give your skin what it needs to look years younger than you are. If you seek out the right products, and commit to using them consisting, you will be thrilled with the results.

Of course, the makeup you choose to wear can create a whole new look for you, but if you lay a solid foundation with careful skincare that supplies your skin plenty of hydration, vitamins and minerals, and emollients, you will find creating a younger looking you to be an enjoyable and easy task. This should start long before you are ever worried about lines or wrinkles, but if you glided through your 20s without a care in the world, you will be relieved to know it is never too late to start taking care of your skin.

For the most part, wrinkles cannot be reversed without the aid of surgery or treatments. However, they can be prevented, and once they appear, they can be diminished. Initial wrinkles tend to hit two primary areas on your face: around your eyes and around your mouth. There are a couple of reasons for this. First, this is the skin that gets the most movement. When you squint, smile, laugh, cry, or make any other expression, your eyes and the skin around your eyes is affected, and over the years, that skin eventually loses elasticity and begins to sag. The same is true for the skin around your mouth. Eating, drinking, talking, smoking, and even kissing will give the skin around your mouth a workout, and lines and wrinkles develop in that area.

Eye cream is, then, a must. Choose a lightweight eye cream that you can apply each night before you go to bed. This cream will hydrate the delicate skin around your eyes, and add vitamins that will help your skin stay supple and healthy. Always apply the cream with the ring finger of your non-dominant hand; this finger will have the least strength and apply the least possible pressure, preventing you from further injuring the already fragile skin in your eye area.

Add to the daily eye cream a moisturizer with a sunscreen in it. While the temptation still exists to bask in the sun, not only to get a tan, but simply because it feels good, we know too much about the damage the sun can do. Therefore, do not look at the sunscreen as an option; look at it as a necessity.

Water is a very important component for your skin, and you must work daily to keep moisture locked in at all times. You can do this by drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day, and by using a moisturizer during the day and an extra emollient cream at night. These will lock in the moisture already in your skin, which is very important. Dry skin is extremely susceptible to wrinkles and fine lines.
